Simple list of component states

The article could be improved by listing the states comprising West Germany, similar to the article on East Germany. The closest that the article comes is in mentioning changes, such as a merger in 1952, and an addition in 1957. 57.140.16.8 (talk) 17:06, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Country is still existing

There are repeatedly attempts to describe West Germany as a country that no longer exists. Please be aware that this was the name for the Federal Republic of Germany from 1949 til 1990. From 1990 on the common English name for the same country is "Germany". Nillurcheier (talk) 18:10, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Same as Nazi Germany, they used past tense, but not using "common English name" due to a lack of undue weight. Similar that past countries (e.g. South Vietnam or Soviet Union) could be neutral requires that mainspace articles and pages fairly represent all significant viewpoints that have been published by reliable sources.
